8/1/1970 | Former Beatle George Harrison led an all-star entourage of rock talent through two sold-out shows at New York's Madison Square Garden tonight, in a benefit for Bangladesh refugees. More than 40,000 attended the concerts, and Harrison hoped to donate $250,000 to the cause.
