Located in the Parvati Valley on the river Parvati, Manikaran is situated in the northeast of Bhuntar in the district of Kullu, in the state of Himachal Pradesh that is elevated at an altitude of 1760 m from the ground level.

Manikaran Sahib is popular for the hot springs, a good number of temples, the Manikaran Gurudwara Sahib, that makes the place a core destination of both the Hindus and Sikhs collectively. There are different sections for both men and women for taking a bath in the hot springs that is considered to have religious and spiritual importance.

If you want to visit Manikaran, then the best time to visit the place is during the summer season that is from the month of April to June when it is not cold like the winter season that makes it impossible to resist the cold for the region is unavoidably cold than the rest part of the nearby areas in Himachal Pradesh, located at a height of 1760 m above the sea level.
How to Reach Manikaran:
If you want to reach Manikaran conveniently, then you can take a train to the Pathankot station that is exactly 300 km away from the major place. You can take a drive to Manikaran from Kullu or Manali that are the nearest locations from the former. If you decide to reach Manikaran by flight, then you will fly to the Bhuntar airport in Kullu Manali from where you will hire a cab or taxi to Manikaran that is located 34 km away.
Things to do in Manikaran:
The major things to participate in Manikaran include, a visit to the Manikaran Sahib, take a dip in the holy Hot Springs, cleanse yourself in Kulant Pith, trek to Harinder Mountain, pay homage at Naina Bhagwati Temple, Lord Ramachandra Temple and Lord Shiva Temple.
